The battery grip ensures that shooting in the vertical (portrait) mode can be done with the same ease as shooting in the landscape mode. The grip, together with 2 LP-E6 rechargeable batteries (not included), doubles your camera's energy capacity. A holder, which is included, allows you to use standard AA size batteries, as well.
The Grip features the following functions/buttons:
